New Members Information

Interested in joining the Loon Race Team?

If you have ever been to Loon Mountain you have
probably crossed paths with members of Loon Race
Team. You may have to look in the trees, the terrain
park, or the moguls, but they are always there having
fun and developing their skills both inside and outside
the gates. Yes, the kids become great racers but they
also learn to love all aspects of skiing that they will
carry with them for the rest of their lives. Our goal is always to help each individual athlete achieve their absolute best. In fact, a
number of our coaches learned to race at Loon and
have now returned to impart their wisdom and love for
the sport to the next generation. We subscribe to the
belief that fun and excellence are not mutually
exclusive and we have the smiles and results to back it
up.

Our youngest athletes The "Rutriders" making lifelong friends!

After the ski day has ended, you're likely to see many of the kids together at the movies in town, sledding somewhere, or swimming. You will see their parents at club social events and out in large groups at local restaurants. Could be that parents are having an even better time than their kids? Loon Race Team is an enjoyable lifestyle choice for the whole family. The benefits of joining LRT go beyond merely learning the skills necessary to ski and ski race. The values of being a part of a like-minded positive organization also take root while engaging in all that the Loon Race Team has to offer.

Loon Race Team is more than race training!

We do not simply bang gates and live on the race training trail. We ski the whole mountain and we learn to ski under all conditions. In addition, social events are held throughout the season for both children and adults. These include barbecues, pizza parties, swimming parties, field trips, travel domestic and abroad-and of course, our annual Banquet and Fundraising events.
